PUBLIC HEARINGS (continued) Item No.1 (continued) Discussion continued and Mr. Schricker, Mr. Patterson and Mr. Smith commented and replied to questions relating to the need for certain conditions; the fact that the proposed signs do not conform to the Sign Ordinance; that standards heretofore approved for the City must be met; and that the matter could be referred to the Planning Department with the understanding that the Use Permit is to be granted and that the list of usual conditions is to be attached and the matter returned to Council for the next meeting. MOTION WITHDRAWN: Vice Mayor Stangel withdrew his motion. In response to question, Mr. Schricker advised that Council can grant the Use Permit now, subject to conditions being established by the Zoning Administrator. M/S: Stangel/Bury to grant conditionally the Use Permit and Architectural Permit for a service station/mini-market at 1700 Middlefield Road to ARCO Petroleum Products Company subject to the preparation of appropriate conditions to be established by the Zoning Administrator. Refuse Collection Alternatives (continued from 2/8/82 and previous meetings) Mayor Biagi announced that the Bay Conservation and Development Commission will conduct a public hearing on the matter of the extension of use of the Menlo Park dump site on March 4, 1982 with a decision promised by March 12. Councilman Bury reported that he expects to be present as an Alternate Delegate. City Manager Smith said he will have a staff member who is prepared to testify attend the BCDC meeting also.
