Councilman Biagi urged the <br />community to make the Marines welcome. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Mayor Stangel announced the receipt of a letter of resignation from the <br />Director of Finance, Jack Ference, who plans to retire effective July 11, 1982. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Stangel determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />accept the resignation of Director of Finance Ference with very deep regrets. <br />(memo 6/15/82) <br /> <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />Mayor Stangel noted that the Director of Finance holds a Council-appointed <br />office and that a recruitment timetable should be prepared for the purpose <br />of filling that office.
