From the Ci Mana er April 4, 2005 Subject Final Acceptance — 2003-2004 Street Overlay Project Recommendation Accept the 2003-2004 Street Overlay Project, and authorize the release of payment bond and retention. Background As part of the continuous Roadway Management Program, the following Streets were resurfaced with a new layer of asphalt concrete pavement: 1. Jefferson Avenue — Franklin Street to Farm Hill Boulevard 2. Farm Hill Boulevard — Jefferson Avenue to West City Limit 3. Woodhill Drive - Farm Hill Boulevard to V�loodridge Court 4. Emerald Hill Road — Farm Hill Boulevard to Jefferson Avenue On May 10, 2004, the City Council awarded the construction contract for 2003-2004 � Street Overlay Project to O'Grady Paving, Inc. of Mountain View, California for their low bid of $1,147,236.65. The project has been successfully completed in accordance with the plans and specifications for a total cost of $1,175,142.54. One change order in the amount of $27,905.89 was issued for the adjustment of final quantities, including adding Emerald Hill Road to the scope of the work. The change order represents approximately 2% of the original bid price. Alternative There is no alternative to accepting the 2003-2004 Street Overlay Project, because the project was completed in conformance with the approved plans and specifications.
