Council Member Foust — stated that she would like to bring back the discussion <br />of the Belmont- Redwood Shores School District. She stated her concern after the <br />recent Board meeting and the recommendation of the Superintendent. She <br />stated that the concept of a bond issue that would only tax the Redwood Shores <br />residents is a topic that merits further discussion and involvement. Council <br />Member Hartnett stated his agreement with Council Member in her concern that <br />only the Redwood Shores portion of the entire district would be taxed to build a <br />district school. City Attorney Yamamoto cautioned Council to refrain from further <br />discussion at this time and schedule for a future Council meeting.1 <br />M/S Hartnett/Foust to extend the meeting to 11:05 p.m. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT —11:05 p.m. <br />M/S Howard /Hartnett to adjourn until the next Special City Council budget study <br />session of February 5, 2005 to be held in the main library community room. The <br />motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />Council Member Howard requested adjournment in memory of Donna Tozi who <br />passed away on January 9 at the age of 65, one week after closing her beloved <br />western store on Broadway in Redwood City. She was a Sequoia High alumna, <br />served as President of the San Mateo County Horsemen's Association, the Los <br />Viajeros Riding Club and active in the San Francisco Horsemen's Association. She is <br />survived by her husband, daughter, son, and three grandchildren. <br />Council Member Hartnett requested adjournment in memory of Stephen Goggiano <br />who died on January 14 at the age of 52, husband, father of two and brother of <br />Redwood City employee Jerry Schnell. He was a long time advocate of youth in the <br />community, coaching for many years and serving as a senior executive in a publicly <br />traded company.
