<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />GRANT AGREEMENT <br />[MONTALVO] <br />~ ~/,l.~ ;l.oæs- <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this2¡ day of Dooomber,J2004, <br /> <br />by and between REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, a public body <br /> <br />corporate and politic ("Grantor") and MONTALVO, a California non-profit corporation <br /> <br />("Grantee") with reference to the following facts: <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Grantor is a public entity organized in accordance with the <br /> <br />Community Redevelopment Law ("CRL") as contained in California Health and Safety <br /> <br />Code sections 33000 et seq. Pursuant thereto, Grantor is authorized to undertake and <br /> <br />support projects within designated areas of the City of Redwood City which foster the <br /> <br />elimination of blighted conditions and encourages the economic well being of such <br /> <br />areas. Grantor has coordinated various improvements within the Downtown area of <br /> <br />Redwood City in order to enhance its retail/business viability; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Grantee has organized and promoted high-quality entertainment <br /> <br />programs in the City of Redwood City ("City"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Grantee has sought, and upon the terms and conditions described <br /> <br />herein, Grantor is willing to provide for certain costs associated with the production of <br /> <br />live entertainment in the City during calendar year 2005. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Grantor and Grantee agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />TERM. This Agreement shall commence and be effective as of the date <br /> <br />first written above and continue to December 31, 2005. <br /> <br />2, <br /> <br />SERVICES.
