<br />ARTICLE 14 <br /> <br />CB CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT <br /> <br />SECTION 14.1 Purpose. To designate and promote the orderly development <br />of the downtown business district as a centr'al shopping facility for the whole <br />city and surrounding area. <br /> <br />SECTION l4.2 permitted Uses. <br />permitted in the CB District: <br /> <br />The following structures and uses are <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />Retail stores and shops. <br /> <br />Personal service shops, including beauty, barber, shoe repair and <br />watch repair shops. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Banks, title companies, stock exchange. professional <br />and administrative offices. <br /> <br />Theaters, restaurants, bars, night clubs, billiard parlors and <br />other indoor commercial recreational uses. <br /> <br />Parking lots and garages. <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />Retail bakeries. <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />Printing, publishing, lithography, photography, blueprinting and <br />engraving shops and services. <br /> <br />SECTION l4.3 Accessory Uses. The following structures and uses are <br />permitted in the CB District when accessory to a use permitted under Sections <br />l4.2 and l4.4: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Incidental storage, repair and service facilities. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Other accessory uses and structures customarily appurtenant to a <br />permitted use. <br /> <br />SECTION 14.4 Conditional Uses. The following structures and uses are <br />permitted in the CB District subject to first securing a use permit therefor: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Automobile service stations. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Hotels, motels, social halls, clubs, lodges and apartment units. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Bus, taxi, train and other transportation terminal facilities. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />Used merchandise sales. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />Public and quasi-public uses except corporation yards, storage or <br />repair yards or warehouses. <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />Automobile sales and accessory service, but not including used car <br />sales or separate service facilities. <br /> <br />( g) <br /> <br />Schools and studios for arts, trades and professions not includi~g <br />indus tr'ial machinery and processes. <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />j <br /> <br />. ............._.....__._-_.._-_._--....~ ---.....-------..-.---- ---------..-.-..,--- <br />
