<br />ARTICLE 15 <br /> <br />CG GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br />SECTION 15.1 Purpose. To provide a district for commercial uses which <br />do not specialize in serving the pedestrian shopper but rather, because of the <br />character of their product or service, are more appropriately located along <br />thoroughfares or away from the central shopping districts where more land is <br />available or where special facilities can be provided for the performance of <br />their function. <br /> <br />SECTION l5.2 Permitted Uses. <br />permitted in the CG District: <br /> <br />The following structures and uses are <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />New and used car, boat and trailer sales~ rental and repair. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Parking lots and garages. <br /> <br />( c) <br /> <br />New and used sales and service establishments. <br /> <br />( d) <br /> <br />Hotels, motels, nursing homes, rest homes~ nursery schools and day <br />care centers. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />Business and professional offices. <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />Medical and dental laboratories. <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />Commercial passenger terminal facilities, including bus and train <br />terminals~ and ambulance services. <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />Garden nurseries. <br /> <br />( i) <br /> <br />Schools and studios for arts, trades and professions not inCluding <br />industrial machinery or processes. <br /> <br />SECTION l5.3 Accessory Uses. The following structures and uses are <br />permitted in the CG District when accessory to a use permitted under Sections <br />l5.2 and 15.4: <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />Accessory uses and structures customarily appurtenant to a permitted <br />use. <br /> <br />SECTION 15.4 Conditional Uses. The following structures and uses are <br />permitted in the CG District subject to first securing a use permit therefor: <br /> <br />( a) <br />(b) Autanobile <br />service stations <br /> <br />Public and quasi-public uses. <br /> <br />,cabinet shops~ electrical, plumbing, and heating shops, sheet metal <br />shops, upholstery shops, bakeries~ creameries, bottling plants, <br />laundries and cleaning and dyeing establishments, so long as any <br />activities or operations connected therewith which are normally <br />capable of creating noise~ odor, glare or dust are located wholly <br />within a completely enclosed building or room having no exterior <br />entrance within 50 feet of any street or adjacent property unless <br />such entrance is completely shielded by part of the building from <br />such street or adjacent property. <br /> <br />( c) <br /> <br />Animal hospitals, veterinary clinics and completely enclosed, sound- <br />proofed kennels. <br /> <br />34 <br /> <br />ý <br /> <br />- ""-~-'_.__._'.'_._'--'-_."-"-'-'-"---'---"'._- <br />
