ARTICLE 20 TP TIDAL PLAIN DISTRICT SECTION 20.l Purpose. To create a district for the marsh lands adjacent to San Francisc()Bay and to permit certain types of development therein of a relatively temporary nature which can ultimately be replaced by permanent development under another more appropriate zoning district. SECTION 20.2 Permitted Uses. permitted in the TP District: The following structures and uses are ( a) (b) ( c) Agriculture. Extraction of chemicals from sea water by natural evaporation and extraction of oyster shells and other deposits from San Francisco Bay. Public parks and public recreation areas and facilities. SECTION 20.3 Accessory Uses. The following structures and uses are permitted in the TP District when accessory to a use permitted under Sections 20.2 and 20.4: ( a) Living quarters of watchmen and caretakers regularly employed on the premises; but not including labor camps and dwellings for transient labor. (b) Offices necessary to the conduct of a principal use. ( c) Garages, parking areas and stables. ( d) Other accessory uses and structures customarily appurtenant to a principal use. SECTION 20.4 Conditional Uses: The following structures and uses are permitted in the TP District subject to first securing a use permit therefor: ( a) Commercial recreation areas, uses and facilities, including shooting clubs and facilities and marinas, but not including facilities in which the principal use is enclosed in a permanent building such as bowling alleys, (b) Outdoor theaters, golf driving ranges, swimming pools, beaches, carnivals, circuses. ( c) Airports, race tracks, rodeo and exposition grounds. ( d) Dirt, gravel, rock and fill businesses, not including concrete or asphalt batch plants. ( e) Public and private sewage disposal plants and the production of fertilizer therefrom. ( f) Equipment and materials storage and salvage yards, petroleum and inflammable liquids storage, and explosives storage and testing. 49 . -... .- .
