<br />ARTICLE 20 <br /> <br />TP TIDAL PLAIN DISTRICT <br /> <br />SECTION 20.l Purpose. To create a district for the marsh lands adjacent <br />to San Francisc()Bay and to permit certain types of development therein of a <br />relatively temporary nature which can ultimately be replaced by permanent <br />development under another more appropriate zoning district. <br /> <br />SECTION 20.2 Permitted Uses. <br />permitted in the TP District: <br /> <br />The following structures and uses are <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />( c) <br /> <br />Agriculture. <br /> <br />Extraction of chemicals from sea water by natural evaporation and <br />extraction of oyster shells and other deposits from San Francisco Bay. <br /> <br />Public parks and public recreation areas and facilities. <br /> <br />SECTION 20.3 Accessory Uses. The following structures and uses are <br />permitted in the TP District when accessory to a use permitted under Sections <br />20.2 and 20.4: <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />Living quarters of watchmen and caretakers regularly employed <br />on the premises; but not including labor camps and dwellings <br />for transient labor. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Offices necessary to the conduct of a principal use. <br /> <br />( c) <br /> <br />Garages, parking areas and stables. <br /> <br />( d) <br /> <br />Other accessory uses and structures customarily appurtenant to a <br />principal use. <br /> <br />SECTION 20.4 Conditional Uses: The following structures and uses are <br />permitted in the TP District subject to first securing a use permit therefor: <br /> <br />( a) <br /> <br />Commercial recreation areas, uses and facilities, including shooting <br />clubs and facilities and marinas, but not including facilities <br />in which the principal use is enclosed in a permanent building such <br />as bowling alleys, <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Outdoor theaters, golf driving ranges, swimming pools, beaches, <br />carnivals, circuses. <br /> <br />( c) <br /> <br />Airports, race tracks, rodeo and exposition grounds. <br /> <br />( d) <br /> <br />Dirt, gravel, rock and fill businesses, not including concrete <br />or asphalt batch plants. <br /> <br />( e) <br /> <br />Public and private sewage disposal plants and the production of <br />fertilizer therefrom. <br /> <br />( f) <br /> <br />Equipment and materials storage and salvage yards, petroleum and <br />inflammable liquids storage, and explosives storage and testing. <br /> <br />49 <br /> <br />. -... .- . <br />
