DAS:sb ~10/01/86 (#31) <br /> DAS:s. ,03/05/87R (#31) <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> SALES TAX AUDIT SERVICES <br /> <br /> S AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of <br />~J~ 198~, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, a~unicipal corporation of the State of California, <br />("City") and MUNICIPAL RESOURCE CONSULTANTS, a California <br />partnership, ("Consultants"); <br /> <br /> WI TNE S SETH : <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City requires sales tax audit services as said <br /> services are more specifically described in Exhibit "A", attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultants have represented to City that it is <br /> <br /> qualified and experienced to perform the aforesaid services; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. Consultants shall provide <br /> professional sales tax audit services. <br /> <br /> Consultants' services shall include but are not limited to <br /> <br /> the following tasks: <br /> <br /> Task I: Procure a computer tape of sales tax permit <br /> records from the State Board of Equalization <br /> <br /> Task II: Input data from sales tax distribution reports <br /> provided by State Board of Equalization for most <br /> recent consecutive quarters. <br /> <br /> Task III: Contact each target business to determine whether a point-of-sale distribution error exists. <br /> <br /> Task IV: Develop a target list of potential point-of-sale <br /> distribution errors based on a comprehensive <br /> inventory and evaluation of all businesses in the <br /> city of Redwood City. These businesses are to be <br /> analyzed based on proprietary guidelines <br /> established by Consultants, formulated through <br /> expert knowledge of corporate mergers and <br /> <br /> <br />
