AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT (Redwood City 2000 Commu!lity A,~f.on and Resou,rce Council) THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this- day of 199~, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of California, ("County"); the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"); REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT, an elementary school district, ("Elementary School District"); and SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, a high school district, ("High School District"); all of which entities are referred to collectively as "the Parties". WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the Parties enter into an agreement to establish a Redwood City 2000 Community Action and Resource Council to provide oversight to multiple collaborative programs designed to improve the health and quality of life in Redwood City and to provide a forum for collaborative needs assessment and community planning based on the National Civic League Healthy Communities Model: NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUT AL COVENANTS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: 1. PURPOSE. The Parties are entering into this Agreement for the sole purpose of providing assistance to and allowing the establishment of a, RedwQQd .Ci~ 2000 " ," .. ..,' "I" :'i Community Action and Resource Council (the "Community Action and Resource Council"). The Community Action and Resource Council exists for three major purposes: A.
