<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />PROJECT SERVICES <br /> <br />Pursuant to the Agreement for Services between The San Mateo County Children & Families First Commission and <br />The City of Redwood City (Redwood City 2020) entered onto on July 01, 2001, Contractor shall provide the <br />following services as described in Attachment A, attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, over the <br />term of this contract from July 01, 2001 to June 30, 2004. <br /> <br />Attachment A reflects the scope of work for the first year of the contract, July 01, 2001 to June 30, 2002. It is <br />understood and agreed that Contractor will submit an updated scope of work for each succeeding year by June 01, <br />2002 and 2003, respectively and receive written approval from the Executive Director, after consultation with the <br />Chair of the Commission, prior to commencing the second and third year provided, however, that there shall be no <br />change in the maximum amount payable under this Agreement. It is anticipated that the scope of work will be <br />amended, with written approval of the Executive Director, upon review of the prior year's progress reports. <br /> <br />Contractor will use service delivery improvement and systems change strategies to: <br /> <br />1. Support and offer quality preschool programming to include: <br />a) Implementing NAYEC accreditation process in 7 classrooms at 3 sites. <br />b) Designing and implementing professional development plans for preschool teachers including topical training <br />sessions, mentoring and in-classroom coaching. <br />c) Developing and implementing a process for weekly review of curriculum plans with teachers. <br />d) Conducting ten 2-hour Parent Services Project sessions each year. <br /> <br />2. Develop a model early childhood learning and family support program and act as a resource to others county-wide, <br />to include: <br />a) Convening monthly meetings of RWC 2020 Early Childhood Committee. <br />b) Researching model programs and best practices. <br />c). Planning and implementing site visits of RWC early childhood family support program staff. <br />d) Developing program standards. <br />e) Piloting and evaluating program strategies. <br />f) Facilitating the process to integrate new early childhood family support services at Hoover and Fair Oaks Child <br />Development Centers. <br />g) Conducting training of early learning and family support staff. <br />h) Assessing professional development needs and creating a plan to address these needs. <br /> <br />3. Increase access to family support services by families with preschool age children attending the CDC programs <br />at Fair Oaks and Hoover School, to include: <br />a) Providing a minimum of 25 units of case managed mental health services to 20 families each year. <br />b) Conducting ten 2-hour Parent Support groups each year. <br />c) Conducting "Second Step" curriculum to 450 students. <br /> <br />Oistribution-1 CODY each' Contractor Commission.
