<br />DES:djk45/24/93 <br /> <br />(083/34) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />6/7 /93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11994 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />REDWOOD SHORES PUMP STATION NO. 10 REPLACEMENT PROJECT; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11959, adopted April 12, <br /> <br />1993, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Redwood Shores Pump Station No. 10 Replacement Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />six <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Albay Construction Company, Martinez, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Albay Construction <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Albay Construction Company, in the amount of <br /> <br />Six Hundred Two Thousand Nine Hundred Eight and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($602,908.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated May <br /> <br />12, <br /> <br />1993, <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />Shores <br /> <br />Pump <br /> <br />Station No. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />Replacement Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> <br />work. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> <br />OS/24/93) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California and Albay Construction <br />
