SWC:sh 6/12/86 <br /> <br />in an amount based upon Consultant's Schedule of Charges, which <br />is attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and incorporated herein by <br />reference. The total amount payable under this agreement shall <br />not exceed the sum of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 <br />Dollars ($17,500.00) without prior authorization from the City, <br />as evidenced by motion of the City Council. Such compensation <br />shall be payable upon submittal, by Consultant to City, of an <br />invoice including a brief description of work completed to date <br />and percentage of job completed and upon approval by the City <br />Engineer. <br /> <br /> 3. ADDITIONAL SERVICES. Should City desire that Consultant <br />provide additional services in connection with this project, such <br />services shall be authorized by motion of the City Council. <br />Unless agreed to otherwise, compensation for additional services <br />shall be paid in accordance with "Exhibit A" <br /> <br /> 4. ASSIGNABILITY. Consultant shall not subcontract, <br />assign, sell, mortgage, hypothecate or otherwise transfer its <br />interest or obligations in this agreement in any manner, without <br />the express written consent of the City. <br /> <br /> 5. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. In the performance of such <br />work, it is expressly understood that Consultant is an <br />independent contractor and shall not be considered to be an <br />employee of City for any purpose. <br /> <br /> 6. TERM. The estimated time for completion of the work set <br />forth in paragraph 1 shall be as follows: two hundred (200) <br />hours complete item (a) of said paragraph and forty (40) hours to <br />complete item (b) of said paragraph. <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
