<br />DES:djk <br /> <br />04/26/93 (037/32) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />5/10/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11975 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR 1992-1993 SIDEWALK REPAIR <br />AND TREE PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11952, adopted March 22, <br /> <br />1993, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />advertised <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />1992-1993 <br /> <br />Sidewalk Repair and Tree Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />six <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />Bortolotto & Company, <br /> <br />Belmont, California, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to G. Bortolotto & Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of G. Bortolotto & Company, in the amount of <br /> <br />Four Hundred Thousand Fifteen and 80/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($400,015.80) , <br /> <br />computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated April <br /> <br />14, 1993, for the 1992-1993 Sidewalk Repair and Tree Program, is <br /> <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> <br />04/26/93) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />Bortolotto <br /> <br />& <br /> <br />Company, a copy of which agreement is on file in the Office of <br /> <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the <br /> <br />.,..,..............................---...-..-.......... <br />
