<br />DES:d~k 04/08/93 <br /> <br />(019/31) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />4/26/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11971 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH LIPMAN INSURANCE ADMINISTRATORS, INC., <br />FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF A FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN FOR <br />CITY EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has established a flexible <br /> <br />benefits plan for its employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Lipman Insurance Administrators, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />( "Contract <br /> <br />Administrator") , <br /> <br />is presently administering <br /> <br />said benefits plan <br /> <br />pursuant to agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to enter into a new agreement <br /> <br />pursuant to which the Contract Administrator shall continue to <br /> <br />administer the flexible benefits plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />been <br /> <br />presented <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Lipman <br /> <br />Insurance <br /> <br />Administrators, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />effective <br /> <br />retroactively <br /> <br />from <br /> <br />August 1, <br /> <br />1992, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />intention <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />desire <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />(form <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />04/13/93R) , <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the <br /> <br />State of California and Lipman Insurance Administrators, <br /> <br />Inc. , <br /> <br />for the administration of the City's flexible benefits plan, <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />which <br /> <br />copy <br /> <br />reference <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />made <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />full <br /> <br />particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and <br /> <br />.., ----..,.-.
