<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO.1 <br />TO EXTEND AND AMEND THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY <br />OF SAN MATEO, THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, REDWOOD CITY <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT, SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT AND <br />THE JOHN W. GARDNER CENTER <br />(Redwood City 2020) <br /> <br />This Amendment No.1 is entered into and effective as of the '~ay of <br />~ ' 20~ extending and amending the agreement dated May <br />11, 2004 ( he "Agreement") by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political <br />subdivision of the State of California, ("County"); the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"); REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT, an elementary school district, ("Elementary School District"); SEQUOIA <br />UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, a high school district, ("High School District"); and <br />JOHN W. GARDNER CENTER, a Stanford-based center, ("Gardner Center"), all of <br />which entities are referred to collectively as "the Parties" for the continuation of <br />Redwood City 2020. <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. The Parties are satisfied with the operations of Redwood City 2020 and <br />desire to extend the Agreement for a period of one (1) year. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Agreement, as may have been amended from time to time, is <br />hereby extended for a period of one (1) year, commencing on July 1, 2004 and ending <br />on June 30, 2005. <br /> <br />2. That the City, County, Elementary School District and High School District <br />each shall transfer to City, as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020, a contribution in the <br />amount of twenty-two thousand, five hundred dollars ($22,500), within sixty (60) days of <br />the date of execution of this Amendment. <br /> <br />3. That the Gardner Center will transfer to City, as Fiscal Agent for Redwood <br />City 2020, a contribution in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), within <br />sixty (60) days of the date of execution of this Amendment. <br /> <br />4. That all other provisions of the Agreement, as may have been amended <br />from time to time, will remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />5.
