<br />,-~1.IGINAL <br /> <br />DES:djk nQ/10/93 <br />8/30/93 <br /> <br />(018/34) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 12046 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH PENINSULA CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER FOR <br />THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE REDWOOD CITY COMMUNITY <br />MEDIATION PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center <br /> <br />( "PCRC") , <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />non-profit <br /> <br />corporation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />presently <br /> <br />operates <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Redwood <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Community <br /> <br />Mediation <br /> <br />Program, <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />communi ty boards program <br /> <br />(previously known as the Redwood City <br /> <br />Neighborhood Boards Program), the purpose of which is to improve <br /> <br />neighborhood and community communication, <br /> <br />in furtherance of the <br /> <br />public order, health and welfare in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />PCRC <br /> <br />represents <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />qualified <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />experienced to perform the aforesaid conflict resolution services <br /> <br />required for said Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for the Provision <br /> <br />of Community Mediation <br /> <br />Services", <br /> <br />by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California <br /> <br />and Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center, for the performance of <br /> <br />the above-mentioned services, <br /> <br />a copy of which agreement is on <br /> <br />file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> <br />hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved <br /> <br />and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to execute and to attest thereto, <br /> <br />respectively, <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />....-...........- ...._,~-------------_.__._..._- <br />
