EJP:mm~ 2/9/89 (#38/042) <br /> <br />of San Mateo, pursuant to California Streets and Highways Code <br />Section 1700, for the purposes of resurfacing the previously <br />described portions of these streets. <br /> <br /> 2. County will include in its contract for the above <br />described project a provision for adjusting five (5) water valve <br />boxes to grade and resurface those portions of Spring Street and <br />Douglas Avenue within the corporate limits of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br /> <br /> 3. County will award the contract to the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the complete resurfacing project including <br />adjustment of the water valves. <br /> <br /> 4. County agrees to notify City of the successful bidder <br />to whom the construction contract is warded. <br /> <br /> 5. City agrees to reimburse County, on demand, the total <br />expense incurred for the resurfacing of those portions of Spring <br />Street and Douglas Avenue that lie within the City limits and for <br />the adjustment of five (5) water valve boxes, up to Eighty <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($80,000.00), including change <br />orders, incidentials and over head expenses. Overhead charges <br />shall not exceed six percent (6%) of the construction contract <br />and change order costs unless previously authorized by the City <br />in writing. <br /> <br />In the event that the total costs for this project, <br />including overhead and incidental expenses, exceeds Eighty <br />Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00), the County shall immediately <br />notify the City of the amount of, and the basis for, these <br /> <br />additional costs. The City shall not be obligated to assume <br />these additional costs unless it expressly agrees with the County <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
