DAS~mmg 05/18/89 (#40/017) <br /> <br />provisions of Section 1810 to 1815, inclusive, of the California <br />Labor Code relating to working hours. The Contractor shall, as a <br />penalty to the City, forfeit $25.00 for each worker employed in <br />the execution of the Contract by the Contractor or by any <br />subcontractor for each calendar day during which such worker is <br />required or permitted to work more than 8 hours in any one <br />calendar day and 40 hours in any one calendar week, unless such <br />worker receives compensation for all hours worked in excess of 8 <br />hours at not less than 1% times the basic rate of pay. <br /> <br /> (a) Pursuant to the provision of California Labor <br /> Code, Sections 1770 et seq., the Contractor and any <br /> subcontractor under him shall pay not less than the <br /> prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the <br /> Director of the California Department of Industrial <br /> Relations. Pursuant to the provisions of California Labor <br /> Code Section 1773.2, the Contractor is hereby advised that <br /> copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages and a <br /> general prevailing rate for holidays, Saturdays and Sundays <br /> and overtime work in the locality in which the work is to be <br /> performed for each craft, classification, or type of worker <br /> required to execute the contract, are on file in the office <br /> of the City Clerk, which copies shall be made available to <br /> any interested party on request. The Contractor shall post <br /> a copy of said prevailing rate of per diem wages at each job <br /> site. <br /> <br /> (b) As required by Section 1773.8 of the California <br /> Labor Code, the Contractor shall pay travel and subsistence <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
