<br />Redwood City Courthouse Plaza, Pavilions & Façade Lighting <br /> <br />11 March 2005 <br /> <br />Page 4 of 6 <br /> <br />All mockup materials and all approved equipment used exclusively in the development of this project are not included in the <br />estimated maximum fee and will be billed at cost times a multiplier of 1.15. <br /> <br />A complete summary of all-reimbursable expenses will provided with each invoice, Original documentation will not be supplied for <br />reimbursable expenses unless requested, <br /> <br />Optional Services <br /> <br />The following services are not included in the above fee, but may be added at the discretion of the Client: <br /> <br />a, <br /> <br />Meeting with City Departments and local neighborhood committee to discuss project goals as related to the exterior site <br />lighting. <br /> <br />b, <br /> <br />Special 3D and 2D computer renderings and other visual presentation elements, other than listed above, <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Written Design Basis summary outlining the recommended program for lighting design for Client approval. Report will discuss <br />for each area: lighting design approach, design criteria, target luminance and illuminance level, power densities, sources, <br />color, temperature, and control intent. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Confirmation of compliance with maximum allowable connected load for lighting as dictated by Lighting Section of applicable <br />Energy Code including preparation of required documents associated with the Lighting Section of the applicable Energy Code <br />for filing with building permit application <br /> <br />e, <br /> <br />Daylighting calculations (availability, shadowing, sunlight penetration, interior illuminances and luminances) including design, <br />construction or observation of construction, testing and evaluation of physical daylighting models. <br /> <br />f. <br /> <br />Preliminary daylighting recommendations for fenestration configurations and/or treatments, <br /> <br />g, <br /> <br />Comparative life-cycle cost analysis for electric lighting schemes, as required, <br /> <br />h, <br /> <br />Development of custom lighting fixtures, testing and evaluation of prototypes, <br /> <br />i. <br /> <br />Design, observation of construction, testing and evaluation of full scale mockups. <br /> <br />j. <br /> <br />Design and layout of lighting control systems, including one-line diagrams and / or specifications for the lighting control <br />systems, <br /> <br />k, <br /> <br />Review and testing of fixture and/or control system substitutions proposed by others in our lighting laboratory, on site or at the <br />manufacturer's facilities. <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Assistance with coordination of lighting fixture orders and deliveries from manufacturers. <br /> <br />m, Assistance with evaluating proposals or substitutions by the Bidders for compliance with the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />n, Assistance with Value Engineering after the completion of Phase I (Design Development). <br /> <br />o. <br /> <br />Manufacturer's shop inspections, <br /> <br />p, <br /> <br />Focusing diagrams for adjustable fixtures on transparencies provided by the Architect. <br /> <br />q. <br /> <br />Design and specification of lighting for growth and/or maintenance of trees and other plantings, <br /> <br />SF ILA I NY 1300 Brannan Street Suite 212 San Francisco CA 94107 415 348 8273 voice 415 348 8298 fax I www.HlBlighting,com <br /> <br />..,,-_..__...., "-"r""""" ...... <br />
