The project itself consists of concrete flatwork, two pavilions,
fountains, landscaping and site lighting. The concrete flatwork generally includes sidewalks, ramps, steps,
colored concrete and a center medallion. The pavilions are primarily composed of GFRC columns with steel
storefront systems that will house 2 kiosks for vendor lease. The architectural features of this project include
fountains adjacent to the pavilions, landscaping which includes palm trees and planters and intricate site
lighting throughout to emphasize flag poles, fountains, pavilions and palm trees.

DPR will also install a prefabricated restroom along with some landscaping on the west side of the North Annex.
This item is still in design phase but the allowance for this scope of work is $200,000 which should be added to
the DPR budget estimate total.

The schedule for this project requires that some long lead-time subcontractors be released immediately. The
schedule calls for demolition to commence in mid-March with a substantial completion of September, 30, 2006.

The budget estimate for this project provided to the City on January 6, 2006, is $5,410,291 and is based on the
100% drawings provided by FTB on February 13, 2006. The 100% drawings estimate can be summarized as
follows:
. Construction costs (sum of subcontracts) =
. General Conditions =
. Overhead and Profit (4%) =
. Construction Contingency (4 %) =
. Insurance/Bonds/Permits =
. Prefabricated Restroom Allowance =
. Total =

$4,425,138
$ 296,459
$ 187,473
$ 200,396
$ 100,825
$ 200,000
$5,410,291

The Final Agreed Price for Amendment 1 will be realized once all subcontractor bids have been thoroughly
reviewed and Value Engineering Items are resolved. We are still attempting to resolve colored concrete Value
Engineering ideas.

If you have any questions regarding this scope summary and budget estimate please do not hesitate to contact
me. I look forward to working with you on this project.

Sincerely,

&úüe l' ~

Eddie Parenti, Project Manager
cell: (650)868-7120
email: eddiep@dprinc.com
