DAS:sh 5/29/86 <br /> <br />agents or employees in the performance of any work required of <br />Contractor by this Agreement. <br /> <br /> The duty of Contractor to indemnify and save harmless, as <br />set forth herein, shall include a duty to defend as set forth in <br />Section 2778 of the California Civil Code; provided, however, <br />that nothing herein shall be construed to require Contractor to <br />indemnify City, its officers, agents and employees against any <br />responsibility or liability in contravention of Section 2782 of <br />the California Civil Code. <br /> <br /> 8. Contractor, at its sole cost and expense, shall obtain <br />in full force and effect throughout the entire term of this <br />agreement insurance coverage as approved by the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Concurrently with the execution of the agreement provided <br />for herein, Contractor shall furnish City with a certificate or <br />certificates, evidencing issuance of all insurance mentioned <br />herein, copies of the policies themselves, which certificates and <br />policies shall be deposited with the City Clerk, along with <br />copies of the following endorsements: <br /> <br /> (a) An endorsement precluding cancellation or <br /> reduction in coverage before the expiration of forty-five <br /> (45) days after City shall have received written <br /> <br /> notification by Registered Mail from the insurance carrier; <br /> (b) A standard cross-liability endorsement; <br /> <br /> (c) An endorsement naming the City of Redwood City, <br /> its Council, officers, boards, commissions and employees as <br /> additional insureds; <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
