SEP-22-1999 16:48 S M CO PUBLIC WORKS 650 361 8220 P.0Y06 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: 1. The County will include in itS contract for the above described project, contract items for adjusting sixty-eight (68) City water valve boxes, two (2) City water manholes and two (2) City water box covers to the new grade for said portion of Lakeview Way within the unincorporated area of the County of San Mateo. The work shall be completed by the CoWlty' s contractor. 2. The County will award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the complete resurfacing project including said adjusnnent of City water valve boxes, manholes and box covers. 3. The County agrees to notify the City of the successful bidder to whom the construction contract is awarded. 4, The City agrees to reimburse the County, on demand, the total cost incurred by the County which shall include an estimate of $13,000.00 for adjusnnent of said water valve boxes, manholes and box covers, including any Contract Change Orders and any other incidental and overhead expenses incurred by the County; provided that said incidental expenses and overhead shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the construction contract and Change Order costs for adjusting water valve boxes, manholes and box covers, urness authorized by the City in writing. It is understood that the total sum to be reimbursed to the County for contract items is to be detennined from actual bid prices received and the estimate given is for informational purposes only. s. The City shall have the option of not including work on its facilities within the County resurfacing contract should the total estimated cost, including contingencies, exceed $15,000.00.
