<br />DES:djk ~7/12/93 (098/34) <br />0 RIG I N A L 7/19/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12013 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF ONE (1) <br />VEHICLE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />this Council has <br /> <br />suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br /> <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br /> <br />competitive bidding for the hereinafter described purchase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department requires an undercover police <br /> <br />vehicle for the Investigation Division; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on solicitation of informal bids, the Police <br /> <br />Department <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />determined <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />Fremont <br /> <br />Ford <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Newark, <br /> <br />California, has offered to provide said undercover vehicle which <br /> <br />meets all of the City's specifications and availability; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this Council desires <br /> <br />to approve the purchase of <br /> <br />said undercover police vehicle in an amount not to exceed Fifteen <br /> <br />Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-four and 84/100 Dollars ($15,634.84); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />approves <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />one <br /> <br />undercover <br /> <br />police <br /> <br />vehicle <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />law <br /> <br />enforcement <br /> <br />purposes <br /> <br />from <br /> <br />Fremont Ford of Newark, <br /> <br />California in an amount not to exceed <br /> <br />Fifteen <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />Six <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Thirty-four <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />84/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($15,634.84) <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> <br />authorized <br /> <br />herein <br /> <br />(in <br /> <br />form approved by the City Attorney) <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />effectuate the purchase approved hereby. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
