<br />DES:djk 08/17/93 <br /> <br />(110/34) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/30/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12065 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE DEMOLITION OF <br />STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 1006 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12014, adopted July 19, <br />1993, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the demolition of <br /> <br />that certain structure located at 1006 Middlefield Road (former <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce Building); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />five <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ferma Corporation of Mountain View, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Ferma Corporation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Ferma Corporation, in the amount of Twenty- <br /> <br />six <br /> <br />Thousand <br /> <br />Seven <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Sixty-one <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($26,761.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated <br /> <br />August <br /> <br />11, <br /> <br />1993, <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />demolition <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />certain <br /> <br />structure located at 1006 Middlefield Road, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted <br /> <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> <br />08/17/93) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> <br />corporation of the State of California and Ferma Corporation, a <br />
