<br />(8-15 '\) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/30/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12054 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH HISPANOS UNIDOS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Hispanos Unidos has been established for the principal <br />purpose of advocating for the charitable, educational advancement, welfare, <br /> <br />protection, guidance and representation of Hispanic groups in the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Hispanos Unidos, has requested financial assistance for use <br />by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br /> <br />July 1, 1993 and ending June 30, 1994; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said requests and <br /> <br />desires to pay to Hispanos Unidos the sum of FIVE-THOUSAND AND NO/I00 <br />($5,OOO.00) and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an <br /> <br />agreement between the City of Redwood City and Hispanos Unidos and it is <br />the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8-15-92), by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and Hispanos Unidos a copy of which agreement <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> <br />hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br />City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br /> <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />---- <br /> <br /> <br />"",'_....,-------._--"._---------'-~-------""-_.,-----_.._-"_..""
