<br />DES:djk- 01/11/93 <br /> <br />(038/34) <br /> <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11930 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR THE <br />PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF AN ELECTRONIC FUEL <br />DISPENSING SYSTEM AND GATE SECURITY SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />this Council has <br /> <br />suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br /> <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br /> <br />competitive bidding for said purchase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Department <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Community <br /> <br />Development, <br /> <br />Engineering Division requires the purchase and installation of an <br /> <br />electronic fuel dispensing system at the New Police Facility and <br /> <br />gate security system at the Municipal Services Center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Trak Engineering, <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />of Vacaville, <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />represents <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />possesses <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />expertise <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />qualified to perform said installation services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this Council desires to approve the purchase and <br /> <br />installation of said electronic fuel dispensing and gate security <br /> <br />systems <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />an <br /> <br />amount not <br /> <br />to exceed Twenty-three Thousand One <br /> <br />Hundred and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($23,100.00), computed in accordance <br /> <br />with letter proposals dated January 6, 1993; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />This <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />hereby <br /> <br />approves <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />installation of an electronic fuel dispensing system at the New <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />Facility <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />gate <br /> <br />security <br /> <br />system <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Municipal <br /> <br />Services Center from Trak Engineering, Inc. <br /> <br />in an amount not to <br /> <br />..
