<br />DES~àtt <br /> <br />12/10/91 (016/31) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />December 16, 1991 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11661 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE <br />LIGHT FIXTURES AND APPURTENANCES <br /> <br />OF DECORATIVE <br /> <br />STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, inspection by the Community Development Department <br /> <br />has revealed that some fourteen decorative street light fixtures <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />appurtenances <br /> <br />installed <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />Main <br /> <br />Street, <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood City, require replacement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />unique <br /> <br />decorative <br /> <br />design <br /> <br />standards <br /> <br />have <br /> <br />been <br /> <br />established for such street light fixtures and appurtenances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />replacement fixtures and appurtenances, by reason <br /> <br />of said uniqueness, are available from a single source only; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by motion duly made and carried by the affirmative <br /> <br />vote <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />less <br /> <br />than <br /> <br />five <br /> <br />members <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII (Purchasing) of the Code of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City have been <br /> <br />suspended <br /> <br />for the purchase of <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />replacement fixtures and this Council desires to authorize the <br /> <br />acquisition thereof from said single source; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Acquisition of fourteen decorative street light fixtures and <br /> <br />appurtenances for replacement of existing fixtures installed on <br /> <br />Main Street, Redwood City, California, is hereby authorized from <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />single <br /> <br />source <br /> <br />available, <br /> <br />viz. , <br /> <br />Associated <br /> <br />Lighting <br /> <br />Representatives, <br /> <br />and the City Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to issue a purchase order and/or to execute an agreement <br /> <br />11661 <br />
