Water Utility Service Rates and Charges <br />Public Works Services Director Ingram gave the background on the water rate <br />increase process that involved the Utilities Committee working with staff on <br />recommendations and eliciting community input prior to development of a <br />recommendation. He further explained the Utilities Committee recommendation <br />and the impacts on customers. <br />Council Members asked various questions and thanked the Utilities Committee <br />and staff for the report. <br />Mayor Ira opened the public hearing. <br />Public Comment: <br />Andy Talbot asked what the average single family dwelling usage is and what the <br />dollar amount per unit is. <br />PWS Director Ingram stated that the average bill would be $61.72 per billing <br />period which is a two -month statement. <br />WS Aguirre/Pierce to close the public hearing.
