<br />DES:djk 11/22/91 <br /> <br />(120/28) <br /> <br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />12/2/91 <br /> <br />-------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />11649 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 11553, AND AGREEMENT <br />ENTERED PURSUANT THERETO TO REVISE LIMITATION UPON <br />EXPENDITURES FOR COMPREHENSIVE STREET TREE MAINTENANCE <br />PROJECT FOR 1991-92 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />Resolution <br /> <br />No. <br /> <br />11553 <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />accepted <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />bid <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Davey <br /> <br />Tree <br /> <br />Surgery <br /> <br />Company <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Comprehensive <br /> <br />Street Tree Maintenance proj ect <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />1991-92 <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />subsequently entered into <br /> <br />an agreement <br /> <br />(the <br /> <br />"Agreement") <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />said company for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 11553, imposes a maximum limitation <br /> <br />upon expenditures <br /> <br />under <br /> <br />the Agreement <br /> <br />of One <br /> <br />Hundred Fifteen <br /> <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($115,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of Resolution No. l1553, <br /> <br />this Council approved additional funding for the performance of <br /> <br />street tree maintenance necessitated by extensive frost damage <br /> <br />incurred during the prior winter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in accordance therewith, <br /> <br />this Council desires to <br /> <br />increase the expenditure limitation established by Resolution No. <br /> <br />11553 <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />set <br /> <br />forth <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />from <br /> <br />$ll5,000.00 <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />$215,000.00; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Paragraph 1 of Resolution No. <br /> <br />11553 is hereby amended <br /> <br />by striking therefrom the reference to the maximum limitation of <br /> <br />expenditures under the Agreement of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand <br /> <br />~ ".-. ~-,," <br />
