<br />DES:djk 1J--4>6/9l <br /> <br />(llO/028) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />11/18/91 <br /> <br />-------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11636 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION AND INSTALLATION <br />OF TWO (2) DUMP TRUCK BODIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, <br /> <br />the City Manager solicited written bids without <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />advertisement <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />purchase <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />two <br /> <br />(2 ) <br /> <br />dump <br /> <br />truck <br /> <br />bodies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three <br /> <br />(3) bids were <br /> <br />received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Western Truck Fab of San Carlos, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the desire and intention of <br /> <br />this Council to accept the bid of said Western Truck Fab; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Western Truck Fab of San Carlos, California, <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />amount of Thirteen Thousand <br /> <br />Six <br /> <br />Hundred <br /> <br />Fourteen <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />28/l00 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($l3,614.28) <br /> <br />computed <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated October 23, 1991, for the purchase of two <br /> <br />(2 ) <br /> <br />dump truck bodies <br /> <br />is hereby accepted, <br /> <br />and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />said purchase. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all necessary or appropriate documents (in form approved <br /> <br />by the City Attorney) <br /> <br />for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City to effectuate said acquisition and installation of two (2) <br /> <br />dump truck bodies approved hereby. <br />
