Phase I Env.inmmeDta1 Assessment <br /> <br />SCt will conduct a Phase I &BSeBSment of the site in general conformance with American Society <br />of Tesrlng .:md Mœerials Designation: E 1527. a current standard for performing Phase I <br />assessments. The Phase I assessment will CODSist of the (ollowing activities: <br /> <br />. Site reconnaissance, <br />. Site history review, and <br /> <br />. Regulatory revlew. <br /> <br />sa wül conduct a site reconnaissance of the site to visualiy check for: <br /> <br />1. Underground tanks, wells, or other conditions which may represent environmental risks, <br />2. Storage and use of hazat'dous materia.1s, and <br />3. Indications of surface contamination. <br /> <br />We will a1so conduct a windshield survcy of surrounding properties to observe land uses in the <br />site area and c~ for indications of potential environmental problems on nearby properties. Our <br />observations of swrounding properties win be made from City streets. <br /> <br />gCI will research the hiStory and current use of the property. The re¡e.areh wi11 include, but not <br />necessari1y be limited to: <br /> <br />1. Reviewing historical aerial photographs and maps, <br />2. Reviewing local. state, and federal regulatory agency databases of sites with environmental <br />concerns in the area, <br />3. InterViewing current and/or previous owners, ueighbors, employees, or other pertinent <br />individuals. as available, and <br />4. Contacting other pertinent offices, departments, and information sources which become <br />appa.œnt from the research. <br /> <br />Based upon the regulatory agency databases reviewed, and the proximity and location of listed <br />properties relative to the site, SCI wiD assess the potential for documented hazardous materials <br />releases at nearby properties to impact the &Îte.
