Background <br /> On February 26, 1996, by Resolution No. 12704, the City Council approved the <br /> Reimbursement Agreement relocating MCI's fiber optic system, due to the construction <br /> of the Jefferson Avenue Underpass Project. <br /> The work has been satisfactory completed in two phases and accepted by the <br /> Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board and staff. MCI submitted a detailed invoice to <br /> the City for $580,284.02, which exceeded the maximum reimbursement amount of <br /> $552,543.20. MCI agreed to accept the amount of$552,543.20. <br /> This agreement was one of three separate Reimbursement Agreements executed with <br /> fiber optic companies.
