REP�R T � �- � <br /> _ To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Manager <br /> January 10, 2000 <br /> Subject <br /> Permission to appoint Rosalind Kutler at a salary above beginning level. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approve the Library's recommendation to appoint Rosalind Kutler at step 3 of the Librarian <br /> II (L700) Classification <br /> Background <br /> Over the last six months the Information Services department has lost finro persons in half <br /> time positions. These positions were combined into one full time position and an extensive <br /> search was conducted to hire a new librarian. After finro offers were rejected, Rosalind <br /> Kutler accepted the position. One of the primary duties that has been included in this <br /> position is the direct supervision of 9 casual employees who work at the public service <br /> desk in the periodicals department.
