The SMCTA will contribute 100% of the original $158,000
cost for the preliminary engineering services needed to complete the Project Study
Repot (PSR), and the environmental report for this phase of the project.
In August of 1998, the City Council approved a Task Order Amendment to the contract
with our consultant, Mark Thomas and Company of Redwood City, in the amount of
$43,400. The additional tasks required of Mark Thomas through this Task Order
Amendment were for more technical studies, including more environmental work
required for adding the northbound lane of Woodside Road to the 101 interchange, and
other traffic-related issues required by Caltrans. The need for these additional studies
resulted from the SMCTA's review of the draft copies o the initial Environmental
Assessment and Project Study Report.
The Board of the Transportation Authority approved the additional funds required for
this change in scope. We need to execute the amendment to the funding agreement so
the City can get reimbursed for the costs associated with the work.
The City Attorney's office has reviewed and approved the agreement as to form. Once
Council approves the execution of the agreement, it will be returned to the SMCTA for
reimbursement for the costs of preliminary engineering.
A copy of the Funding Agreement is available for review in the City Clerk's office.
__ . .. _ . ....._ _. ...._.__
