<br />hereinafter described <br /> <br />accordance with, and as provided <br /> <br />in, the plans being <br /> <br />prepared by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, entitled, "Underground Improvement <br /> <br />Plans for Existing Overhead Utilities at 890 Broadway," as well as City's revised <br /> <br />specifications entitled, "Engineering Standards of the City of Redwood City", adopted <br /> <br />January 5, 1998 which plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Manager, <br /> <br />Engineering and Construction. Said Improvements shall also be constructed in strict <br /> <br />compliance with the provisions of Article VII, Chapter 29 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. If a conflict exists between the plans and specifications and said Chapter <br /> <br />29 in regard to the standard for a particular improvement, the stricter standard shall <br /> <br />govern to the extent of such conflict. Owner shall complete all of the Improvements, <br /> <br />subject to such exceptions and time extensions allowable under paragraph 10, on or <br />before June 30, 2001. The Improvements shall include, but are not necessarily limited <br /> <br />to, all of the following: <br /> <br />(a) <br />(b) <br />(c) <br /> <br />trenching backfill and paving <br /> <br />curbs, gutters, sidewalks (associated with trenching) <br /> <br />undergrounding of existing overhead utilities, including electric, <br />telephone, and cable TV, complete <br /> <br />and all other work, improvements, or construction required by or mentioned in the <br /> <br />above-mentioned plans and specifications, conditions of permits and all construction, <br /> <br />appurtenances, and improvements necessary as reasonably determined by the City <br /> <br />Engineer, Engineering and Construction to complete the aforementioned improvements. <br /> <br />2. Security. Owner shall, prior to the commencement of any construction of the <br /> <br />Improvements, furnish to City and file with the City Clerk a cash deposit, securing the <br /> <br />faithful performance including labor and materials of all work and the construction of the <br /> <br />Improvements mentioned in this Agreement within the time herein specified. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />amount of said security shall be One Hundred Eighty Thousand and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />Agrmt-402 <br />F :\shared\R edwood\Council <br />FXS:djk <br />09/15/00 <br />09/28/00R <br /> <br />2 <br />
