<br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS; <br />APPROVING AMOUNT OF CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION NO. 11; ACCEPTING <br />BIDS; REJECTING CERTAIN BIDS; AND AUTHORIZING CITY <br />CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City proposes to construct a fire station <br /> <br />(Fire Station No. 11) in the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br /> <br />architectural, engineering, and construction management/general contractor <br /> <br />services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 12, 1999, the City Council of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City approved an agreement for the design, engineering, and construction of Fire <br /> <br />Station No. 11, with W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. (the "Agreement"), as <br /> <br />evidenced by Resolution No. 13602; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, W.L. Butler Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />("Butler") prepared and caused to be prepared, architectural, engineering, and <br /> <br />construction <br /> <br />plans, <br /> <br />specifications, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />documents <br /> <br />(the <br /> <br />"Construction <br /> <br />Documents") for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, the City of Redwood City caused <br /> <br />to be advertised for bids from various trades for the construction of the Project; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Reso-814 <br />F :/5 hared/Redwood/Council <br />FXS:rg <br />01119/2000 <br /> <br />1 <br />
