<br />EXHIBIT I <br /> <br />Dudnick Detwiler Rivin <br />& Stikker, LLP <br />351 California Street <br />15th Floor <br />San Francisco, CA 94104 <br />Attn:S.Kend~IPatton <br /> <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />RECORDING REQUESTED BY AND <br />WHEN RECORDED MAIL TO: <br /> <br />GRANT OF EASEMENTS <br /> <br />This Grant of Easements ("Agreement") is made and entered into this day <br />of , 2000, by and between REDWOOD SHORES PROPERTIES, a <br />Californiajoint venture general partnership ("RSP"), and the CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, a municipal corporation ("City"). <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. RSP is the owner of that certain real property located in the City of <br />Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, more particularly described on <br />Exhibit A attached hereto (the "Property"). Redwood Shores Levee Segment VII ("Levee <br />Segment VII") is located along the northern and western boundaries of the Property. <br /> <br />B. Pursuant to Permit No. 6-94 issued on July 24, 1996 by the San Francisco <br />Bay Conservation and Development Commission ("BCDC") to the City and RSP, as <br />amended through June 26, 1997 by Amendment No. One issued by the BCDC (as <br />amended, the "BCDC Permit"), the City, at the sole cost and expense of the City has <br />agreed to construct and install the following improvements within the following limited <br />portions of the Property: <br /> <br />(i) Place fill within those limited portions of Levee Segment VII <br />described in Exhibit B attached hereto (the "Exterior Levee Easement Area") to raise the <br />Exterior Levee Easement Area to + 10 National Geodetic Verticle Datum ("NGVD") with <br />a fifteen (15) foot width at most locations, a 2: 1 slope and a twelve (12) foot wide gravel <br />maintenance road on the top of the Exterior Levee Easement Area. <br /> <br />(ii) A fence with a gate within that limited portion of Levee Segment VII <br />described in Exhibit C attached hereto (the "Gate Easement Area") to allow access for <br />authorized persons and vehicles but to prevent general public access. <br /> <br />(iii) <br /> <br />A ten (10) foot wide paved pedestrian and bicycle path within that <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />i-"-r.... <br />
