The purpose of this program is to conduct predator damage management to reduce predation of the federally listed California clapper rail and salt marsh harvest mouse from various predators as listed in the City of Redwood City's Predator Management ?lan for Redwood Shores Peninsula. Upon receipt of funds from the City of Redwood City for Predator Management, USDA- WS will commence predator management activities as soon as staffing is accomplished. 2. USDA- WS will attempt to work this project with another project when possible, to make the predator management activities stretch over a longer time period each year. 3. USDA- WS will conduct predator removal activities within the guidelines described in the City of Redwood City Predator Management Plan for the Redwood Shores Peninsula. 4. USD A - WS will attempt to stay within the itemized detail of the budget Exhibit A, Attachment No.2, but will retain the ability to shift funds from one budget item to another, as a result of changing daily needs and to make the project funding last as long as possible during each year. USDA-WS will not exceed the annual spending limit established for this project. 5. There will be occasional periodic compulsory training required for safety and skill enhancements that the USDA- WS employee will be required to complete, while charging against this contract. -- 10f2 . . ~..__.
