<br />3D.q <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />Proof of Coverage. Prior to beginning work, Contractor shall furnish <br /> <br />City with certificate(s), evidencing issuance of all liability insurance mentioned herein, <br /> <br />copies of the policy declaration or information page(s) and endorsements. <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />certificate(s) and endorsements for each insurance policy are to be signed by a person <br /> <br />authorized by that insurer to bind coverage on its behalf. The endorsements are to be <br /> <br />on forms provided by the City or are to be approved as to form by the City. The <br /> <br />certificate( s), and endorsements are to be received and approved by the City before <br /> <br />work commences. <br /> <br />5. HOLD HARMLESS. Supplier hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and save <br /> <br />harmless City, its Council, boards, commissions, officers, employees and agents from <br /> <br />any and all suits or claims for injury to any person or persons or for any damage to <br /> <br />property arising out of the performance of this agreement or resulting from the <br /> <br />carelessness of Supplier, its agents or employees. <br /> <br />6. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. It is hereby understood that in connection <br /> <br />with the performance of Supplier's obligations hereunder, Supplier is an independent <br /> <br />contractor and shall not be deemed to be an agent or employee of the City in the <br /> <br />performance hereof. <br /> <br />7. COMPENSATION: EXPENSES; PAYMENT. Supplier shall bill the City on a <br /> <br />monthly basis.
