<br />'?JA - ~ <br /> <br />Public Comment: <br /> <br />Bette Caceres encouraged Council to finish Roosevelt A venue through capital expenditures. <br /> <br />Steve Penna, representing CHARO, Sequoia High School District and Foundation for the <br />Future, stated he was present to address the Council regarding possible funding of Carrington <br />Hall. Mr. Penna asked whether Council was in need of specific information because he did not <br />see Carrington Hall information in the packet and responded to various questions by Council. <br /> <br />John Dempsey agreed with Ms. Caceres' comments on Roosevelt Avenue. <br /> <br />Don Saye, C.H.R.C., supported the Carrington Hall restoration project as being centrally <br />located and ideal for Redwood City. <br /> <br />Merrily Robinson requested Council strongly consider the Roosevelt Avenue project. <br /> <br />Constance Eros supported the Roosevelt A venue project. <br /> <br />Two additional speakers (names unknown) supported the Roosevelt A venue improvements, <br />citing the trees issue. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Nelson explained the CIP program to date with the main <br />focus on Proposed Funding for Major Projects (FY 2000-2003) and Alternate Funding for <br />Major Projects (FY 2000-2003), Attachments A and B. <br /> <br />Council consensus on flooding issues, reconstruction of Roosevelt A venue, seed money for the <br />, PAL facility with the understanding it should be a community facility and one-time funding <br />toward Carrington Hall was expressed. <br /> <br />3.
