Resolution approving right of entry to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. <br /> AGENCY ACTIONS <br /> 1. Resolution of Redevelopment Agency accepting the deed of conveyance from <br /> the City and authorizing the Agency to convey the property to Peninsula Habitat <br /> • for Humanity. <br /> 2. Resolution approving right of entry to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. <br /> Background <br /> Last Fall, the Council approved a recammendation by the Rolison Road Community <br /> Advisory Committee to offer the subject Rolison Road property to Peninsula Habitat for <br /> Humanity. Habitat agreed to meet the City's legal obligation to build a minim� of 36 <br /> replacement units previously demolished on the site. Habitat has been working with the <br /> City and the neighborhood toward approval of a specific development PD Permit and <br /> Tentative Parcel Map approved by the Planning Commission. Many of the design features <br /> respond to the design guidelines in Chapter 5 of the Friendly Acres Neighborhood Plan. <br /> This request to transfer land formalizes the earlier action taken by the Council and <br /> positions Habitat to file their final Subdivision Parcel Map and apply for their building <br /> permits. The land transfer process will involve the City transferring finro parcels to the <br /> Redevelopment Agency and the Redevelopment Agency transferring seven parcels to <br /> Peninsula Habitat. <br /> Replacement Housing Requirement - Federal Community Development Block Grant and <br /> HOME funds and State Redevelopment Housing Funds were used to acquire the land for <br /> this project and demolition of the sixty six units. Since thirty-six of the units were occupied <br /> at the time of acquisition, the City is required to replace these units. By law, the City is . <br /> required to have these units built and available for occupancy by July 2000. HUD.. has <br /> reviewed the pretiminary schedule regarding the date of completion of the replacement <br /> units governed by federal law, and found the schedule to be reasonable and substantial <br />
