_ <br /> �� <br /> ���� _ ; <br /> T� th� H+�nara��e �ayr�r ar��[� �it� Cau�c��: <br /> Fr+��n the �ity I�lan�c�er <br /> April 24, 2000 <br /> Subject <br /> Acceptance of Deed - Kaufman and Broad - South Bay, Inc. <br /> California Seacrest Subdivision - Engineering File No. 805-04 <br /> Recommendation <br /> Direct the City Clerk, by motion, to accept on behalf of the City, the deed offered by <br /> Kaufman and Broad - South Bay, Inc., pursuant to Resolution No. 10944, adopted <br /> December 5, f9�8, and ta record a certified copy of the Resolutior� and- Orde�r with the <br /> deed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County. <br /> Background <br /> On November- 6, 1995, the City Council adopted a Resolution of Intention to form a <br /> landscape maintenance district in Redwood Shores. On December 11, 1995, a public <br /> hearing was held to provide open discussion by the public and private interests about <br /> the district. As a result of the hearing, the Redwood Shores Landscape Maintenance <br /> District was formed and the boundaries established. <br /> With the establishment of the Redwood Shores Landscape Maintenance District, the <br /> District is charged with the maintenance of certain open space parcels, as indicated in <br /> the District formation documents. The District can only maintain parcels that are held in <br /> public trust. One such area within the District is located behind the development of <br /> California Seacrest Subdivision, and is currently owned by Kaufman and Broad - Souih <br /> Bay, Inc. . ' <br /> Kaufman and Broad - South Bay, Inc. has submitted the grant deed and legal <br /> description for the open space area prepared by Brian-Kangas-Foulk. Staff <br /> recommends the acceptance of the deed by City Council. <br /> Fiscal Impacts <br /> Since the dedicated property is located within the boundary of Redwood Shores <br /> Landscape Maintenance District No. 1995-1, and assessments have been levied on the <br /> affected property owners to maintain the open space area, there are no fiscal impacts <br /> to the City by this action. <br /> ��awe�Q d� . �I(. /�e.. �o E- <br /> Lowell L.W.
