The Town of Atherton is
soliciting a new proposal to provide maintenance services for the remainder of their fleet
including the purchase of fuel. The remainder of their fleet consists of 18 sedans and 4
pickup trucks. Redwood City staff met with Atherton's Finance Director and Assistant to
the City Manager and both agreed to the costs, terms and conditions written into our .
agreements. Providing the maintenance service for the Town of Atherton's vehicles would
not compromise the service level currently being provided to Redwood City's vehicles.
Staff recommends approval of this agreement.
Alternative
Do not appr.ove agreement.
Fiscal lmpact
The associated revenue for the maintenance and repair of Atherton's remaining fleet will
be approximately $36,500 annually, based on a$69.59 per hour labor rate. The revenue
is used to completely offset the cost of providing services to outside agencies. The
amounts in excess of the costs are retained and used to supplement the funding of the
replacement of City vehicles.
i! ;" ,
, -. ^ i..,

Lar rwacz Peter Ingram Ed Everett
PublfcWorks Superintendent Public Works S rvices Director City Manager
Attachment .
1.
