<br />gA'25 <br /> <br />SECTION C <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />ANNUAL ACTION PLAN <br />Summary <br />2000/2001 <br />Description of Key Projects by Priority <br /> <br />PRIORITY # 1 <br /> <br />Promote affordable housing for all populations by increasing the <br />number of affordable, accessible, decent safe and sanitary, and <br />ownership units for low and moderate income households <br /> <br />. $628,144 for Home Improvement Loans, rehabilitation of special needs <br />housing, accessibility modifications, and weatherization repairs. <br />. $262,500 for housing and land acquisition <br /> <br />PRIORITY # 2 <br /> <br />Facilitate suitable living environment by improving the safety <br />and livability of neighborhoods by focusing resources for public <br />facilities and services to reduce poverty. <br /> <br />From CDBG and HOME Funds: <br />. $222,600 for non-housing public facility improvements, including youth and <br />child care facility and services facility for developmentally disabled persons, <br />. $156,900 for various public service activities ranging from homeless <br />assistance and homeless prevention, assistance to youth intervention and <br />academic programs, senior day care and nutrition programs, shared housing, <br />childcare, and legal assistance to low income persons considering creating <br />small businesses. <br /> <br />From Human Service Financial Assistance (local general funds): <br />. $14,000 for services to people with disabilities, <br />. $82,000 to non-profit organizations providing emergency assistance, <br />. $48,000 to programs providing housing assistance, <br />. $2000 for job training and outreach, <br />. $8,500 for senior services, and <br />. $78,000 for various services to youth. <br /> <br />PRIORITY # 3 <br /> <br />Expand Economic Development Opportunities for low and <br />moderate-income persons through job creation, small <br />business creation and expansion and opportunities created <br />by activities selected for funding. <br /> <br />From CDBG Funds: <br /> <br />. $102,300 for economic development activities relating to creating small <br />business enterprises and business incubators. <br /> <br />C-1 <br /> <br />""r~- <br />
