<br />'1(!"-l <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />May 22, 2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Appointment of Senior Accountant above the bottom of the salary range <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve, by motion, the appointment of Victoria <br />Berjes to the position of Senior Accountant at $65,000 per year (at midpoint in the salary <br />range effective June 5, 2000). <br /> <br />Background <br />The Senior Accountant position has been vacant since the beginning of December 1999, <br />and we have had difficulty finding suitable candidates for this important management <br />position. On April 10, 2000, Council approved the use of employment agencies to help <br />with our recruitment.
