<br />1 (Z-t <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />May 16, 2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br /> <br />Representative on the Peninsula Library System's Advisory Board <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Please appoint Jaime Baquero as the Redwood City representative on the Peninsula <br />Library System's Advisory Board for a term from July 1, 2000 to June 30, 2002 <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The System Advisory Board advises the Peninsula Library System's Administrative Council <br />and System Director about current and future system programs and acts as a <br />communications channel to and from the local community. Jaime Baquero is a Redwood <br />City resident and is currently employed at Morrison and Foerster as a legal specialist. He <br />has worked for the Main and the Fair Oaks Libraries, and is knowledgeable about library <br />system issues. He graduated from the Frontiers in Leadership Program and now <br />volunteers for the Policy Committee of the Habitat for Humanities.
