Kiwanis Club is requesting the Council issue a letter permit for their <br />eleventh annual July 4th Carnival. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The Council authorize execution of a letter permit for the July 4th Carnival, sponsored by the Woodside <br />Terrace AM. Kiwanis Club through Butler Amusements. <br /> <br />Summary <br />The Woodside Terrace AM. Kiwanis Club has requested permission to conduct a July 4th Carnival. <br />The Carnival will be conducted in the downtown area of Redwood City. (Please refer to Exhibit A) <br /> <br />he Carnival shall be held from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1,2000, and end at 11 :00 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, July 4, 2000. Set up time will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2000. The site will be <br />cleared by 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2000. The Carnival shall not operate on July 4, 2000, <br />until after 1 :00 p.m. or the end of the July 4th parade, whichever is later. <br /> <br />The Woodside Terrace AM. Kiwanis Club has requested the use of city services (barricades) and the <br />waiving of the parking lot fee. Additionally, the Club has agreed to pay for the assignment of two <br />Redwood City Police Officers to the Carnival from the hours of 7:00 p.m. to closing each night. <br /> <br />The Woodside Terrace AM.
