Currently the labor cost for service range from
$56.33 per hour for motorcycle repair to $65.44 per hour for vehicle and equipment repair.
Because of increased operating costs and more accurate labor rate calculations, the new
labor rate for all maintenance and repair services is $69.59 per hour effective July 1, 2000.
The Town of Woodside, City of San Carlos and San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force
have all been notified of this new labor rate and agree to the increase.

Alternative
Do not authorize the labor rate increase and keep the labor rate as is. Net loss to City
estimated to be $3,400.00

Fiscal Impact
The revenue generated from external vehicle maintenance contracts has been
approximately $31,000 annually and is projected to be approximately $50,000 in
2000/2001. This revenue is used to completely offset the cost of providing service to
outside agencies.

~/> ;:I~' ,- -; "

LarryÆarwacz ;/ - '
Pubfic Works Superintendent

Peter Ingram
Public Works S

Q¿j

Ed ËVerett "
City Manager

Attachment: None

'~' ,,- ,~' '1Ir
