<br /> <br />R.EPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable MayoråndCityCouncii <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />June 12, 2000 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Appointment of Senior Accountant above the bottom of the salary range <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve, by motion, the appointment of Gloria <br />Isleta to the position of Senior Accountant at $65,000 per year (at midpoint in the salary <br />range effective June 5, 2000). <br /> <br />Background <br />The Senior Accountant assigned to Revenue Services has tendered her resignation to <br />accept a position with another public agency. Since we were in the process of recruiting <br />a Senior Accountant at the time, we were fortunate to have another good candidate <br />available to fill the position. On April 1 0, 2000, Council approved the use of employment <br />agencies to help with our recruitment. These agencies have provided us with several <br />excellent candidates. We believe one of these, Gloria Isleta, has the experience and skills <br />to fill the position and is a very qualified candidate. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The annual difference between the bottom of the range for the Senior Accountant <br />classification and the proposed salary (both with benefits) is $6,419.
